1. When solving a quadratic function using the quadratic equation you are finding the x-intercepts or roots, which are the points at which the parabola crosses the origen of your graph. When you are finished using the quadratic equation you may get one answer, two answers, or maybe no answers. If you recieve one answer than the vertex is placed on the x-intercept and there is only one root, if you recieve two answers than the parabola crosses at more than one point and there is two roots, and if you recieve no answers than the vertex is above the origen of your graph and the parabola does not have any x-intercepts or roots.
